Classic Aero-TV: Of Old Crows and Young Hearts
Sat, Nov 09,2024 05:22:40PM EST
An SnF2023 Favorite (YouTube Edition): The Stearman Storyteller A young Dutch boy looked on, rapt with amazement, as a T-6 pilot flew an aerobatic routine during an airshow long lost to time and obscurity. Up and around the T-6 flew, climbing and diving, rolling and pirouetting, its engine’s unbroken song rising and falling in a chorus of snarling and shrieking that resonated in the lad’s ears, imagination, and viscera. The T-6 landed and its pilot clambered out its cockpit to a coda of hot-engine pings and down-spinning gyros. Mustering his resolve, the boy approached the aviator—hand outstretched, a thousand questions on his lips—only to be brusquely brushed aside and left to watch the pilot stride away amongst a crush of adult admirers.

BIG Upgrades In The Works --- ANN Is Seeking EXCEPTIONAL New Staffers The last few years have been about as challenging a time as we can recall... but we survive (yeah, we're kinda surprised, too) and look forward to 2025 and what we see as a very rewarding (and yes, still challenging) new generation of activities at ANN. After some truly weird times during the pandemic, ANN continues to expand slowly, but surely, and we have some truly intriguing upgrades coming up over the next few months. In other words, we're about to grow again -- REALLY/TRULY -- and in some novel directions. The much-appreciated expansion of "AIRBORNE UNLIMITED", the incredible potential of the all-new digital edition of the SportPlane Resource Guide (eSPRG), some really exciting projects for SUN 'n FUN 2025, a new Aero-Reality series, and a number of upcoming books and projects are but the tip of the iceberg.

2024 SUN N FUN Innovation Preview Segments Published
Sat, Nov 09,2024 05:21:30PM EST
Massive Aviation News Event Started 2024 Off With a Plethora of Exciting Info Last year, we introduced the SnF Innovation Preview in which 25 companies introduced over 30 new planes, products, engines, accessories, and more… in other words… a LOT of news. Rotax previewed the powerful 916iS, CubCrafters showcased the Carbon Cub UL, Bose introduced the A30, Aerox revealed the Boomula… and so much more. This year, we went beyond that... way beyond all that, with a larger selection of news announcements that covered ALL aspects of sport, general and commercial aviation... all at the start of the 50th Annual SUN n FUN Aerospace Expo... the undisputed start to the aviation year. This year was also a major news-breaker... especially with the announcement that the DeltaHawk Diesel engine folks were working with Piper Aircraft on an STC for the PA44 Seminole. It also hosted the first formal news about the planned 2025 Affordable Flying Expo... an event that is planned for the SnF Aerospace Expo campus so as to provide a powerful alternative to the failed Sebring and DeLand sport aviation fly-ins. The Junkers A50 Heritage was introduced. Scalewings profiled their SW-51 -- now equipped with a Rotax 916... and so much more.
