This aircraft is a reinvention of the out-of-production PZL-104 Wilga. Airbus Poland ceased production of the Wilga STOL utility aircraft in 2006, and signed over rights in September. Draco Aircraft will now be able to produce the next-gen, turbine powered version, dubbed Draco. The manufacturer hopes to bring the development to the market in 2028. Despite the usual delays associated in dealing with the FAA and other impediments such as the ECO-lobby, SpaceX is ready to take its next step on the way to Mars. The sixth flight test of Starship is targeted to launch as early as Monday, November 18 -- one week from now. The EAA recently submitted comments to the FAA regarding its recent airworthiness directive (AD) pitches for the Piper PA-28 and PA-32. The two proposals would expand the number of aircraft requiring wing spar checks and reformulate inspection timing. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne-Unlimited!!!

Early adopters received an exclusive introductory base price of $1.8 million but reservations are still being accepted with current pricing based on placement on the reservation list. The FAA has issued a new AD affecting Lycoming engine models with specific connecting rod assemblies. This was prompted by a series of reports of con rod failures that caused uncontained engine breakdowns and in-flight shutdowns (IFSDs). The directive mandates routine oil inspections to identify bronze metal particles, a potential indicator of connecting rod degradation. Nearly half a ton of cocaine was discovered aboard a Bolivian-registered aircraft that landed in Argentina near Rosario. The National Gendarmerie tracked the aircraft, a Cessna 206, using radar from Santa Fe’s northern region. Airborne-NextGen 11.05.24: China v Skydio, SpaceX 100th, World Drone Champs

Also: ERAU Hurricane Drone Program, lightWave Edge 130 Blue, Manta Aircraft, ARTCC Meteorologists Prominent American drone manufacturer Skydio was recently hit with sanctions from the Chinese government, forcing it to limit battery distribution. These constraints follow Skydio’s deal to sell drones to the Taiwanese National Fire Agency. The sanctions prevent Chinese companies from working with or supplying components to Skydio. The American drone maker only sources a few parts through China, so it is still able to manufacture and distribute its product. Previous missions included three to the International Space Station (ISS), one with astronauts and two Cargo Dragon flights. The 2024 Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) World Drone Racing Championship has kicked off in Hangzhou, China. The FAI chose the Aero Sports Federation of China (ASFC), supported by the National Sports Group, to host the 2024 event. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne-NextGen!!!

The SportPlane Resource Guide RETURNS!!!!
Mon, Nov 11,2024 08:58:58PM EST
Emphasis On Growing The Future of Aviation Through Concentration on 'AFFORDABLE FLYERS'It's been a number of years since the Latest Edition of Jim Campbell's HUGE SportPlane Resource Guide first saw the light of day. That massive 1100 page book last featured over 800 exciting sport aircraft from all over the SportPlane universe... at a time when the SportPlane industry was still a healthy, thriving enterprise (those were the days...). While there has been some consideration, off and on, toward updating the nearly 5 pound book, the near implosion of the SportPlane and kit industry over the last decade has made such a pursuit an unwieldy one... until now.
